Selling FAQs

Becoming a seller is easy on Swish. Register for a free seller account and start uploading your items right away from your Store Manager! You get to describe your items, add photos and set your own prices.

As soon as someone buys your item, you will be notified via email. Then Swish will contact you to arrange the item collection. Swish takes on the responsibility of collecting, packaging and delivering your items to your customer. 

You will receive your earnings in the form of Swish store credit soon after your item is collected and you will receive an email notification stating your new Swish wallet balance. You can use store credit to shop on Swish OR you can cash out by requesting a bank transfer or cheque.

For items priced up to TT$150, the consignment fee is TT$50 flat. For items priced greater than TT$150, the consignment fee is 30%.

Sellers may post for sale any women’s clothing and accessories which are gently used, relatively new or in excellent condition.

There are three main factors that can help your items sell faster: detailed descriptions, great quality photos and attractive pricing. 

Item descriptions should be as detailed as possible. They must include: color, sizing information, condition and any flaws or defects, if applicable. We also recommend that you include the brand, the type of material, the original retail price and your reason for selling. Your customers will be grateful for all the details and will feel more comfortable buying items from you. 

We recommend that the featured (main) photo be a product photo from the retailer’s website. Additional photos must include your own photos of the item’s current condition and any flaws, if applicable. Take your photos with plenty natural lighting and plain backgrounds.

*It helps to include a photo of the item on a person, whether it is from the retailer website or from the seller modeling it.

Set a price that would seem attractive to you if you were the customer. If the item is not sold after 1-2 weeks, try setting a sale price to entice customers. Who doesn’t love sales?!

Buying FAQs

Thrifting on Swish is great for you, your wallet and the environment. It’s a win-win-win! You can save up to 50-80% on clothes that are in great condition and have them delivered right to your door. We believe that secondhand shoppers deserve a quality shopping experience in Trinidad. 

Thrifting is also one way to reduce our carbon footprint and make small changes towards a better future. Your Swish purchases will be true representations of the slogan, “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.”

You have the option to pay by credit card or Swish store credit. We use a secure payment platform to protect our customers’ information. 

You can earn Swish store credit by becoming a seller and selling items.

The seller receives Swish store credit after the item is collected by Swish’s delivery team. This is to ensure that buyers receive what they paid for. 


Within 2-4 business days if you select Express Shipping at checkout or 5-10 business days if you select Free Shipping. You will receive an email when the item is on its way. The delivery team will also contact you to confirm the delivery time.

In the case of unprecedented delays (e.g seller is out of the country), you will be notified via email.

Due to the nature of the store, returns and refunds will not be accepted for reasons not mentioned below.

Buyer Protection Guarantee:


Returns and refund requests will be accepted if the purchased product was inaccurately described by the seller. The buyer must request the return and refund within two (2) days of receiving the item.


Refund Process:


 – Email or use the “Contact us” page. Include the order number, the item name and the reason for your return/refund request.

–  Swish may request photos of the inaccurately described item.

–  Refunds will processed through the original payment method.


TIP: If an item you purchased on Swish does not fit you or you do not like it for any reason, feel free to repost the item for sale on Swish. If the item sells within one(1) week of your receiving the item, email us at and we would be happy to refund the commission charged for that item.
